- Upon arrival our representative welcomes you at either Dibrugrah airport or Jorhat airport of Upper Assam. Then journey takes you to the mesmerizing woodlands of HoollongaparGibbon wildlife sanctuary situated near Moriyoni Town, It is the only sanctuary in Indianamed after a primate due to its distinction for containing a dense Western hoolock gibbon populations.
This 22 sq km. Wildlife sanctuary is famous for the seven species of primates including Western Hoolock Gibbon and Stumped tailed macaque etc. One of the main attractions of the sanctuary is trekking inside the forest path of deep woodlands and photographing wildlife on tree canopies and track the avian specieslike Great Hornbill etc. Nightstay at Homestays.
Trekking inside Gibbon as early as possible, as wildlife including avifauna species are very active during the early morning hours and give us a chance to witness their amazing world and also provideopportunities to photograph them. Return to homestay and then proceed to Majuli Island (One of the largest river island of the world) after lunch. This journey from Gibbon to Majuli experienced you some amazing adventures as we have to cross the mighty Brahmaputra river on Ferry and reached Majuli by late afternoon. - This day is reserve to witness the amazing Satras of Majuli Island. The satras are unique monastic institutions in Assam, India, associated with the Vaishnavism. Satras are not just religious centres but also serve as hubs for traditional performing arts, culture, and social life. Founded by the revered saint Sankardeva in the 15th century, Satras played a crucial role in shaping Assamese society.
In the morning we visit famous Satras like Kamalabari&Dakhinpat and after lunch we will be at SamoguriSatra famous for mask making culture of Assam. Then we proceed to one of the Mising community village to witness its unique culture, handloom etc. Nightstay at resort/homestay.
After breakfast return to Jorhat/Dibrugarh and continue our journey of amazing North-East.
Firmbase Camp to Embeong: This part of the trek involves traversing alongside the Noa Dihing River, including navigating loose boulders in the riverbed. You’ll also encounter Lisu tribal villages along the way. This is a long trek, taking around 7 hours.
Embeong to 32 miles (approx. 6.5 KM). From 32 miles drive to Deban and then to Miao. Night stay at Miao.
