Itinerary
Upon arrival our representative welcomes you at Guwahati airport or Railway Junction.
Then our 10 days Assam-Meghalaya tour starts. This is our first day and we are on a local Guwahati tour. First we reach Kamakhya Temple and there after visit Umananda Island and temple. Umananda isthe smallest inhabited Island of the world and one has to board on a ferry to reach there. Afterreturning from Umananda we take our lunch and heading towards Brahmaputra river front. Then we go to Balaji Temple and our local Guwahati tour ends here. Night stay at Guwahati.
Guwahati to Shillong. First we visit Barapani (Umiam) lake and then enter Shillong town to visit Ward Lake, Golf Link etc. After Lunch we will visit Laitlum Canyon. Return to Shillongandnight stay at Shillong.
Shillong to Sohra( Cherrapunji). Visit Elephant Falls en route and will reach Sohra by lunch.After Lunch Sohra local sightseeing. Night stay at Sohra.
After breakfast Sohra full day sight-seeing. Kynrem falls, Bangladesh border etc. or opt for a full day trekking to Double Decker living root bridge. Night Stay at Sohra.
After breakfast drive from Sohra in Meghalaya to Kaziranga National Park in Assam. Will reach Kaziranga by afternoon. Night stay at Kaziranga.
Full day Jeep Safari in Kaziranga in two different Zones. Night stay at Kaziranga.
After breakfast we will drive from Kaziranga to Upper Assam town of Sivasagar. Sivasagar is known for it’s archaeological marvels of Ahom Kingdom like Shiva Doul, Talatal Ghar, Rang Ghar etc. Night stay at Sivasagar town.
Morning drive from Sivasagar town to Charaideo UNESCO world heritage site. It is now famous for it’s vast collection of Maidams which are the burial mounds of the ruling Ahom Kings and members of the Ahom royalty. After visiting Charaideo we will continue our journey to reach Tinsukia town of Upper Assam by late in the evening. Night stay at a farm stay near Dibru Saikhowa National Park.
Our adventure starts in the morning. First we drive to Guijan Ghat and take a ferry from there to reach Dibru Saikhowa National Park. Trekking inside the Park and then return to farm stay for lunch. After lunch visit to famous Motapung-Maguri Wetlands to enjoy the nature &wildlife in its best. Night stay at farm stay.
#### One can also opt for trekking inside DehingPatkai National Park ( Amazon of the East)
instead of the day 9 itinerary mentioned above. This is a full day trekking inside Rainforest of
Upper Assam and full of adventure.
This our final day of the tour and we will reach either Dibrugarh airport or Tinsukia
Railway junction to onboard a plane or train to Delhi.
